Dogechain Remembers - The Stone Age 🪨 Once upon a time, there was only $BTC. And the crypto environment was super serious business 🤨 🐶 Then came $DOGE and brought much-needed lightheartedness to the space. It allowed the meme community to become a driving force in blockchain and contribute immensely to spreading crypto to the mainstream public. 🚪 @dogecoin quickly became the gateway crypto, allowing users to participate in this growing industry and socialize in a fun way, without any of the pressure or baggage other coins were bringing. Over the years, blockchain evolved and brought incredible utility to users, welcoming DeFi and NFTs. And yet, almost a decade later, Shibes holding their #Dogecoin had very little utility for their coins 😭 To remedy this, a band of jolly OG Dogecoiners and top industry thinking heads gathered to find a solution. 🤔 How could we give #DOGE more utility and propel it into the growing Web3 space? And the answer was right there, in front of us! 💡 These great minds ideated Dogechain - an EVM-compatible blockchain that would use Doge as gas. This would allow holders to plug in their Doge holdings into smart contracts and access DeFi, NFTs, and blockchain games! An idea was born, the next step would be to materialize it!
