Ultimate Dogegress Voting Guide 🗳
🔥 With the governance proposal live, we’ve been getting a fair amount of questions on how to cast votes on the dogegeress.dog governance platform.
So let’s get to the bottom of this, shall we? 👇
Q: What do I need to vote?
🔸 Voting on dogegress.dog requires veDC tokens. These are obtained by locking DOG-20 $DC tokens in the vote-escrow model found here:

🔸 The locker provides you with exponentially higher amounts of veDC the longer you lock your $DC tokens, up to 8x for 4-year timelocks. This allows long-term supporters to have stronger voting power, even with modest holdings.
Q: What $DC tokens are eligible?
🔸 Only DOG-20 $DC residing on Dogechain are eligible in the veDC model. If you own ERC-20 $DC on Ethereum, you will need to bridge over your assets to the Dogechain mainnet.
🔸 You can bridge ERC-20 DC to DOG-20 through multichain.org by following this guide:

Or by depositing ERC-20 DC and withdrawing DOG-20 $DC on one of the following exchanges

🔸 Once you have your $DC tokens on the Dogechain mainnet, you can lock them to obtain veDC.
Q: I have veDC tokens but they are delegated to validators
🔸 If you already own veDC tokens and you have them delegated to a validator, you need to unstake them before voting.
🔸 Visit and click on the “Staked only” button to filter the validators that hold your tokens.
🔸 Click on “Enter” and select the “Withdraw” tab in the validator window.
🔸 Choose the amount of veDC you wish to withdraw, click “Withdraw” and confirm your transactions.
🔸 Once you have withdrawn your veDC, you can cast your vote on dogegress.dog.
Q: I already own veDC tokens - How do I vote?
🔸 If you already own veDC tokens, simply visit dogegress.dog and choose the governance proposal you want to participate in.
🔸Select the amount of veDC you wish to dedicate to your vote and confirm your choice. However, please note:
1️⃣ You can vote only once. Make sure you vote with the max amount of veDC to make it count!
2️⃣ Your veDC tokens will remain locked in the governance contract until the end of the voting window. Once the window expires, you can reclaim your veDC and delegate them to validators or use them for another vote.
